The collection is divided into 3 separate series, the Infinity Series, the combined Performance/Comfort Series and the Base Series. Carrier Infinity Series Heat Pumps

This is the top of the line, anchored by the new Infinity Greenspeed heat pump that delivers 20 SEER and 13 HSPF performance. All the Infinity models are 2-stage heat pumps that work with the top-rated Infinity controller. These premium heat pumps offer the most precise climate control available and are all Energy Star rated. Here are the Carrier Infinity Series heat pumps: Carrier Infinity Greenspeed 25VNA0 (20 SEER/13 HSPF), Carrier Infinity 25HNB9 (19 SEER /10.0 HSPF), Carrier Infinity 25HNB6 (17.2 SEER/9.6 HSPF), Carrier Infinity 25HNB5 (16 SEER/9.0 HSPF), and the Carrier Infinity 25HNA9 (19 SEER/9.5 HSPF).

Carrier Performance/Comfort Heat Pumps

Of the 6 models in this series, 2 of them are 2-stage models. The rest offer single-stage performance, including one compact model for installation where space is limited. They are all Energy Star qualified and may be eligible for utility rebates from your electric company. Here are the models in this series: 25HPA6 (17 SEER/9.0 HSPF), Carrier 25HCB6 (16.5 SEER/9.5 HSPF); Single-stage Carrier 25HPA5 (16.5 SEER/9.3 HSPF), Carrier 25HCC5 (16 SEER/9.0 HSPF), Carrier 25HCB3 (15.5 SEER/8.8 HSPF), and the Carrier Compact 38QRR (15.5 SEER/9.0 HSPF).

Carrier Base Heat Pumps

Designed to be more affordable, these single-stage heat pumps are also a good choice for mild climates without temperature extremes. They also are chosen where low cost is more important than efficiency – in cottages or vacation homes, for example. The Carrier Base heat pumps are: Carrier Base 25HBC5 (16 SEER/9.0 HSPF) and the Base 25HBC3 (15 SEER/8.5 HSPF).

The Carrier Infinity heat pumps are relatively expensive. They will help lower utility bills and produce very comfortable homes. The other Carrier models are very competitively priced, offering the right combination of efficiency and equipment costs depending on your specific needs.
